Quinoa (pronounced Keen-wa). It has ancient origins in South America dating back over 5000 years to the lost Inca civilization. Quinoa is very healthy and has a lot of protein in it as well as a lot of minerals and is also gluten-free. This is a perfect summer salad that can be eaten as a side dish or even alone.
