Not only is this marinade so flavorful, it will make any tough meat so tender. When you marinate a tough cut of meat, it breaks down the fibers in the muscle. Just make sure to marinate it for several hours. Some delicious, but tough cuts of meat are flank steak and skirt steak. If you are using this for chicken and salmon, you don’t need to marinate it as long, a couple hours would be fine for chicken and salmon. So to get the recipe for my Easiest Steak Marinade, keep on reading!
Ingredients
- ½ cup less sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
- ¼ cup water
- 1-2 tbsp. dark sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 2-3 tbsp. garlic powder (I like lots of it)
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a glass mixing bowl and stir. Place steak into a large ziploc bag and pour over the steak and marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably 12 hours to overnight. Every few hours turn the bag over so all parts of the meat get coated. See how easy it is!
P.S. A couple of perfect side dishes that will go along with your steak, are my Horseradish Mustard Potato Salad and my Horseradish Mustard Macaroni Salad. You will love both of them so grab these recipes as well!
