My husband and I stayed at The King’s Inne located in Yarmouth Port, MA from Oct 11th through October 15th. If I had to pick one word to describe this B&B, I would say Amazing! Not only was the Inn beautiful, but the Innkeepers, Carina and Paul are so gracious and charming. Totally perfect hosts! And they have great English accents!
I will do this review in sections as I think it’s easier that way.
Check In
When we arrived we were greeted by Paul who automatically took our big heavy suitcase and carried it in for us and proceeded to show us the first floor living room/dining room areas, the 24 hour coffee and tea station and the fridge where they keep all the sodas, water and milk. He also showed us the closet where there are several DVD’s that you can play on the in-room DVD player. He then proceeded to bring us up to our room, The Balmoral Suite.
Dining roomSuite
The Balmoral Suite is situated on the 2nd floor (there are 2 suites on this floor, and one on the ground floor). You walk into a lovely sitting room that has a love seat, coffee table, club chair, dresser and two lamps. This room is very light as it has two windows. On the dresser you will find amenities such as fresh cut flowers, bags of chips, bottles of water and chocolates. There are also a bunch of magazines and brochures about the area.

The bedroom of the suite consists of a very comfy king size bed with wonderful linens, two night tables and 2 lights, one over each night table. There is also a Bose radio which has great sound and a large flat screen TV.
The bathroom is small but beautifully appointed with a toilet, sink with a granite counter, large mirror and makeup mirror. The shower is very large and the water pressure is really good. They provide Gilchrist and Soames bath amenities (shampoo, shower gel and body lotion). You will love the towels as they are so thick and plush. Ladies, they even provide a black makeup washcloth so you can take off your mascara and not have to worry about turning the washcloth black!!! I’m sure this was Carina’s idea! Thanks Carina! In addition to the plush towels, there are two very nice robes for you to use during your stay! The décor is really lovely and whoever decorated it, has great taste!
The Inn
The house is absolutely gorgeous as you can see from my pictures. It looks exactly as it does on the website! In addition to gorgeous furnishings and décor, the whole place is immaculate! Totally spotless as you won’t find one speck of dust! That to me, is a number 1 feature!
Breakfast
If you are a breakfast person, then you will love the breakfasts at The King’s Inne. Paul does all the cooking while Carina serves you in their lovely dining room. Not only are his breakfasts a picture to look at, they taste absolutely amazing! The first morning we had Chocolate Croissants, Belgian Waffles with fruit, whipped cream and bacon. Totally delicious!!!
The 2nd morning we had Chocolate Chip Muffins, Porridge with Soaked Cranberries which was really delicious and quite filling. Then, in addition to that, Paul made English Muffins topped with fresh spinach, Canadian bacon and a Poached Egg on top. The sides were smoky bacon and steamed asparagus.
On the 3rd morning there were homemade blueberry muffins which had the largest, plumpest blueberries that I have ever seen. Our first course was a Granola Parfait which consisted of homemade granola, delicious blueberries and Greek yogurt! It was really good and could be served as a dessert as well. The main course was a mouthwatering Vermont Cheddar and Spinach omelet which was paired with a side of delicious bacon and sautéed mushrooms! A true culinary delight! I am not a “breakfast food” person, but Paul you outdid yourself! Thank you so much!! My husband and I enjoyed every morsel!!
Your hosts, Carina and Paul
Carina and Paul were not only innkeepers, they became friends for the 3 nights that we were there!! Such hospitable people and as I said above, they have the most charming English accents! I could have listened to them speak for days on end, but besides their lovely accents, they were truly lovely people! Both, so friendly and accommodating, always willing to answer any questions that you would have about the inn, the area or even about themselves!! Carina was a wealth of information regarding Cape Cod and the restaurants. She recommended several and made dinner reservations for us. Her recommendations were, spot on! If you are looking for a certain type of restaurant or attraction, do not hesitate to ask Carina because she will know exactly where to send you!
In Closing
In my closing, I would like to say that we had such a lovely time at The King’s Inne and if you are in the Cape Cod area, I totally recommend this bed and breakfast! It may be small in the amount of rooms that they have (3), but definitely NOT small in quality!
Carina and Paul, thank you so much, you really exceeded our expectations!!!
What a lovely B and B, we would love to stay there when we are in the area! Nettie
