I love this time of year! It’s actually my favorite time because the temperatures are cooler, the air is crisp and the colors are so vibrant! This is a recipe for my Orange Cranberry Sauce which is a little bit tart and a little bit sweet! I put a spin on it with adding some cinnamon to the mix. It’s definitely a hit with my family and will be a hit with yours too! Make a double or triple batch today. To see how I make my Orange Cranberry Sauce, keep on reading!
Orange Cranberry Sauce
Serves 8-10
Ingredients
2 (12 oz) pkgs fresh cranberries
zest of 1 orange
3 cinnamon sticks
2 cups orange juice
1/2 – 1 cup water
2 cups brown sugar (if you like it really sweet add 1/4-1/2 cup more)
Directions
In a large saucepan combine the cranberries, orange zest, cinnamon sticks, juice and sugar. Add the water to cover the mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer for about 1 hour. Stirring occasionally. Add more sugar, if needed. Let cool and then pour into a bowl and refrigerate until using. Can be made in advance.
Enjoy!
