Tis the Season! Many of you will be entertaining family and friends this holiday season. Have you thought about what appetizers you will serve for your party? Do you want quick and easy appetizers that not only the adults will love, but the kids as well? All kids love eating “food on sticks,” for fun and tasty treats! Try making these Caprese Skewers using Sargento Low Sodium String Cheese. Kids love eating string cheese; and with this recipe you will get them to eat their veggies, as they are made with grape tomatoes and a touch of basil. Not only does the cheese have a lot less sodium (25% less), they are also very low in carbs, have only 4 grams of fat and 60 calories per piece. Everyone is health conscience these days and while Sargento String Cheese may be low in fat, calories and sodium, they certainly are not low in taste! These little appetizers are so easy to put together, they will take you just 10 minutes to prepare! Make them in advance and when you are ready to serve, just pop them out of your fridge and watch your guests gobble them up!
Not only are they perfect for parties, they are also a great snack to take to work or school as they are quite portable. A definite grab and go healthy snack! Makes 12 snacks. To see how they are made, keep reading!
